Season of Giving and Loving

Can't believe that Christmas is just days ahead! This is my celebration after 1 year of cold storage. I didn't have any celebration at all! I literally didn't celebrate Chinese New Year, both my parents' birthdays, my sister's birthday and registration of marriage. All the rest of the festive seasons were not even in my calendar at all. I didn't even celebrate my own birthday! Not that I have forgotten about it, just that I believe it was not a season for me to celebrate. It's all good though.
It's a season to celebrate and a season to reflect. I am grateful for what I have, I have stopped looking at things that I do not have. Not to be distracted things that do not have eternal values. Those things only brings temporary enjoyment. It's easy to get side track with all the colours, flavours and gifts during Christmas. It's definitely more than just that! So much more...
It's about true giving, giving without expecting anything in return. It's never for selfish desires or wishes. This year has been an eventful year for me. Many things had happened! Many more changes ahead this journey as I walk along. Every sorrow, tear and pain has its reason and purpose to make one stronger, it has indeed made me stronger. There were laughters too... laughters that still makes me smile at the thought of it.
I will be in Paris this year for Christmas to be with the Birlouez Family. This is probably the longest holiday I have taken after a long time. The most needed - 3 days holiday in Britanny! I need a MASSAGE! And hopefully this whole spa experience will relax my stiffen muscles. And I have a major task cooking for the Birlouez Family. I love cooking so much these days. I believe I have improved alot and it's time to develop my signature dish. Am still hunting for one, but it has to be 'Nyonya'. Am thinking either a Laksa or Prawn Mee! Yes am salivating here, I can't help it. We pay a fortune to get hawker food. I better stop talking about food now, it does get me down when my tummy is not satisfed.
This time of the year is usually packed with food! Just make sure not to stuff yourselves down and gluttony is a sin. Enjoy everything in moderation. With this I would like wish you all a Blessed Christmas and a Great New Year ahead! It just gets better! Lay hold of it!
